With the gold seal of approval in place, I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some of the superhero oils that are included in this formulation to give you a clear understanding of why this facial oil is so good for your skin.
Borage Seed Oil is highly effective at treating all kinds of skin inflammation including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and rosacea. If your skin is feeling dry, you'll love its calming, nourishing, redness-reducing effects. It's also helpful in calming acne and being lighter than many other oils it won't leave your face feeling greasy.
Borage Oil contains high levels of GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid), providing incredible hydrating benefits for your skin and making it ideal for sensitive skin. When the skin isn't able to produce enough protective oils, it can easily dehydrate resulting in inflammation and break outs. Applying a face oil topically, containing Borage Oil, really helps your skin with the essential fatty acids that it's lacking.
Tamanu Oil - also known as Green Gold is rich in fatty acids, helping to lock moisture in by acting as a barrier. This oil facilitates the growth of new skin cells and leaves the skin feeling smoother and softer. It soothes, repairs, and helps diminish redness, scars, stretch marks, irritation, itchiness, dryness, and peeling. It helps prevent blemishes from forming, and it protects against the harsh effects of the elements. It works to reduce age spots, stretch marks, cellulite, and dryness.
Macademia Oil - simply one of the best skin oils around! Other than Jojoba Oil it is the closest match to the naturally occurring sebum of the skin. It registers incredibly low on the comedogenic table meaning it won't clog your pores.
It is a light but penetrating oil that's excellent for dry and mature skins that have a reduced production of natural sebum. It helps assist with cell regeneration due to the squalene and oleic acid content making it particularly effective for softening and moisturising skin. It also helps balance sebum production making it equally effective on oily skin due to the omega 6 content.
Jojoba and Rosehip Oil are well known skincare heroes. Jojoba Oil is actually not an oil but a liquid wax ester which is the closest botanical match to our skin's natural oil as mentioned. Naturally rich in Vitamins A, D and E, this gentle oil works to regenerate skin cells. It also contains fatty acids Omega 6 and 9, which work to repair damaged skin cells. High in antioxidants that fight premature ageing, this oil helps to brighten dull skin by providing essential moisture, allowing the skin to regenerate and rejuvenate itself. Jojoba Oil is non-irritating, making it perfect for every skin type; it balances oily skin, soothes sensitive skin, hydrates dry skin and even helps acne and breakouts.
Combining these two ingredients, your skin will instantly feel smoother and softer. Over time, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks may begin to fade and your skin's natural healthy glow is restored.
Rosehip Oil is naturally rich in Vitamin C and helps target free radical damage and premature ageing as well as pigmentation, and promotes a healthy skin cell turnover for a bright and even skin tone. Also naturally rich in Vitamin A in the form of Beta-Carotene, it is ideal for sensitive skin types as it is easily absorbed and works as a gentle antioxidant to help brighten skin tone and help protect skin from environmental damage. The natural anti-inflammatory properties of this oil make it perfect for all skin types, including dry, mature, oily, combination, acne prone and sensitive. It is particularly good for hydrating, smoothing, firming and plumping up skin with all of those nutrients packed inside, and works towards reducing the appearance of wrinkles, sun spots, hyperpigmentation and scarring.
